Andrade El Idolo vs. Darby Allin – If Darby Allin wins, he’s guaranteed a future AEW World Championship match
This match didn’t need an added stipulation, but the addition of Allin getting a future AEW World Championship match is compelling. It also makes deciding who will win this match even harder. Andrade has been on a heater ever since he returned to AEW. In singles competition, Andrade has only lost to “Hangman” Adam Page since his return. That said, it was a high-stakes match, as the winner of that match was crowned the #1 Contender for the AEW World Championship. If he loses here, are we going to start talking about how when the lights are the brightest, Andrade can’t get the job done?
Allin has yet to be defeated in singles competition in 2026, logging victories against names like PAC, Gabe Kidd, and Rush. One could argue he’s on one of his best runs in recent AEW memory. He’s been vying for the AEW World Championship for years, and it feels like his opportunity is close. I think this is going to be one hell of a match that will see Allin score the victory in a very, very close match.
Andrade El Idolo vs. Darby Allin Prediction: Darby Allin wins and guarantees himself a shot at the AEW World Championship
The Young Bucks vs. Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita
I cannot express through text how excited I am for this match. For a match that technically has nothing on the line, this easily could be a match of the night candidate.
It’s hard to see anything other than a victory for The Young Bucks, as they take on the troubled team of Okada and Takeshita. We’ve been teased for months about the tension brewing between the two, and it came to a head on Dynamite on Wednesday. In a post-match beatdown of The Young Bucks, a simple bump between Okada and Takeshita led to them brawling with each other. After they were broken up by the other members of The Don Callis Family, Callis himself said he would give them the opportunity to fight at AEW Double or Nothing if they agree to work together at AEW Dynasty against The Young Bucks.
I envision a scenario where things start well for Okada and Takeshita, and it disintegrates as the match goes on. Takeshita ditching Okada or vice-versa would be a perfect way to end this match and begin the build toward Double or Nothing. Before that, enjoy what should be a banger of a match.

Chris Jericho vs. Ricochet – Singles Match
Jericho made his return to AEW two weeks ago, ending all speculation that he would jump ship to tap out to Gunther. During his promo on Dynamite, Jericho was about to sign his new multi-year deal with AEW before he was interrupted by Ricochet and The Gates of Agony. After some back and forth, Jericho not only signed the contract but executed a clause allowing him to pick an opponent for Dynasty, which is Ricochet. Jericho also said to Ricochet “YOU JUST MADE THE LIST”, which I truly hope is a sign that we’re getting this gimmick again.
As for the match, it makes sense for Jericho to start his newest stint in AEW with a victory, while also not hurting Ricochet in the process. I would expect this to be a one-and-done match and not one that turns into a prolonged feud.
Chris Jericho vs. Ricochet Prediction: Chris Jericho wins
Jon Moxley vs. Will Ospreay – AEW Continental Championship match
Ospreay wasted no time going after Moxley and The Death Riders when he returned at AEW Revolution. Over the past few weeks, these two have been going at it backstage, in the ring, in the parking lot, wherever they seemingly cross paths. Then, on Dynamite, Ospreay got some much-needed backup when he was joined by United Empire, which consists of IWGP World Champion Callum Newman, Francisco Akira, and HENARE. However, in this match, it should be one-on-one. This will be the first time in AEW where Ospreay and Moxley face each other one-on-one. They have prior in New Japan, where Moxley scored the victory in 2022.
I think most people see Ospreay scoring this victory and taking the AEW Continental Championship. But, I’m not so sure. I firmly believe that Ospreay will be taking the AEW World Championship at All In: London in August. Does that mean he’ll also be taking the AEW Continental Championship with him on that journey? It certainly wouldn’t be a bad thing, and there is still a lot of time between now and August, but the closer we get, the less I believe Ospreay is going to lose. A loss to Moxley would not hurt Ospreay at all, and if anything, could make him more insane than what we’ve already seen. Honestly, I think that would be a great character development. Because of that, I’m all for a Moxley win.
Jon Moxley vs. Will Ospreay Prediction: Jon Moxley retains the AEW Continental Championship
Thekla vs. Jamie Hayter – AEW Women’s World Championship match
I’ve loved the run that Thekla is on as the AEW Women’s World Champion. She’s made tremendous strides in AEW, and that will continue post-Dynasty. Hayter has been in the tag team division for all of 2026, as she and Alex Windsor (who is fighting Mina Shafir on Zero Hour) have dominated. As The Brawling Birds, they have yet to be defeated and even beat Thekla and Shafir on this week’s Collision.
Unfortunately for Hayter, her singles career has hit a bit of a bump. Her last singles match was a loss to Kris Statlander at AEW World End, which was also for the AEW Women’s World Championship. However, Hayter did earn a victory over Thekla last year at AEW WrestleDream. I do believe this version of Thekla is much different than their first meeting and will see Thekla score the win.

FTR vs. Cage & Cope – AEW World Tag Team Championship
These two teams have a lot of history together, and it’s nasty. If you recall, FTR, these two teams met at All Out 2025, with Cage & Cope scoring the victory. But it was FTR who won the war. A post-match brawl ensued, and FTR earned the upper hand during it. FTR would end up handcuffing Cope to the ring ropes and then attacked his wife, Beth Copeland. They delivered a spike piledriver to Beth, leaving Cope enraged but helpless.
Now, these two teams will meet for the first time since, only this time, it’ll be for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. This will be the third time that Cage & Cope will team up in AEW, and they’ve yet to be defeated. I believe that undefeated streak will continue here at Dynasty and they’ll capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship for the first time in their careers.
FTR vs. Cage & Cope Prediction: Cage & Cope win the AEW World Tag Team Championship
MJF vs. Kenny Omega – AEW World Championship
The buildup to MJF and Omega has been great. Omega is healthy and has looked it in his most recent run. Omega has dealt with post-surgery complications from his diverticulitis, but has looked fantastic. He earned this match after defeating Swerve Strickland on a recent episode of Dynamite, which would have also seen him lose his EVP position if Strickland won.
This will be the second one-on-one match between these two, as MJF was able to defeat Omega in a 30-minute classic on Collision back in 2023. It’s crazy to think that the match was on for free a few years ago. They’re also billing this match as “The Devil vs The God of Pro Wrestling”, which is a nice little touch to such a high-profile match. As I mentioned earlier in this article, I believe we’re headed toward an MJF vs. Will Ospreay main event at All In: London, so that would automatically have me on MJF to win this match. I’m looking forward to this match immensely and think they’ll have the ability to outdo themselves from their prior match on Collision.
