Most Bet NBA Player Props for Thursday 4/9/26

Just three days of play remain in the NBA regular season. Tonight will be the final day of play with any teams out of action, as each team will suit up on both Friday and Sunday for their final contests. With six games today, including a potential battle for the East’s second seed between the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks, there will be hundreds of prop bets available at DraftKings Sportsbook for users to choose from.

But not all of these prop bets are created equal, as the public is riding more on some than on others. Information on which have caught users’ eyes is available on DraftKings Network’s Player Props Page. The Player Props tool provides all of the most bet player props by handle + odds on the DraftKings Sportsbook, updated as regularly as every five minutes!

I’ve taken some today’s most popular NBA player props on DraftKings Sportsbook and broken down exactly why the public is so fond of these, helping you make informed picks ahead of tonight’s NBA slate.

BREAK IT DOWN:

(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)

Deandre Ayton Double-Double (+213): The Los Angeles Lakers are in rough shape, as both Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves will likely be out for at least the start of the postseason (Dončić with a hamstring strain and Reaves with an oblique strain). In the interim, LeBron James will be their most important player, but Ayton will play a key role as the primary center with Jaxson Hayes injured. Though Ayton has only recorded four double-doubles since the All-Star break, he has a pretty good opportunity to do so tonight against the Golden State Warriors, who rank just 21st in total rebounding percentage since the start of February. They’ll also be without all three of their centers (Al Horford, Kristaps Porziņġis, and Quinten Post).

Bam Adebayo 1st Points Scorer (+477): Adebayo had a disaster of a performance against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, and his Miami Heat don’t have much to play for, as they’re locked into the Play-In Tournament. But despite the off night, he’s still shown himself capable of being a primary scorer, averaging 23.4 points per game since the All-Star break (buoyed, of course, by his startling 83-point effort on March 10). Across that span, he has a 27.9% first-quarter usage rate, the 15th-highest of any player with at least 150 first-quarter minutes played (and, most crucially, higher than any Raptor).

Jalen Brunson 1st Points Scorer (+480): The battle for the East’s second seed and 2025 second round rematch is the marquee game of the evening, so Brunson should be motivated to set the tone early. New York’s captain hasn’t been quite as consistent this season as he was in 2024-25, but he’s turned up for two of the three games against the Celtics, reaching the 30-point threshold twice and posting a 30.1% usage rate in the first quarter. He also recorded the Knicks’ first points on March 31 against the Houston Rockets.

3-Pick Parlay

Feel free to tail any of the picks, but if you fancy all three of them, it’s also possible to parlay all of them together for a larger potential payout. Here’s how that would work:

Deandre Ayton Double-Double (+213)

Bam Adebayo 1st Points Scorer (+477)

Jalen Brunson 1st Points Scorer (+480)

Parlay Odds: +10374
