Home runs. Long balls. Bleacher reachers. Whatever you want to call them, people love watching and betting on home run props during baseball games. So much so, we’ve got a whole article dedicated to just that.
Here are my top two home run prop picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Thursday’s slate: Bo Bichette and Maikel Garcia.

Bo Bichette 1+ Home Run (+650)

Today is the day that Bo Bichette shakes off his slow start and begins living up to his massive contract in the eyes of Mets fans.
Today is the day that Bo Bichette hits his first home run of 2026.
It’s not that crazy to believe. Bichette has crushed left-handed pitching throughout his career, entering the day with a .300 average and a .201 ISO within the split. In 139 plate appearances against LHPs in 2025 with the Blue Jays, Bichette hit seven long balls, resulting in a .546 slugging percentage and a .238 ISO. This is the type of matchup where you want to take a chance on his props. Among the lefties that Bichette has hit well across his eight years in the majors? Eduardo Rodriguez. In fact, the infielder has a pair of home runs and a 1.352 OPS off E-Rod in 13 at-bats. Rodriguez technically hasn’t allowed a single run yet in 2026, but this is also a man who pitched to an ERA over 5.00 in 2024 and 2025. I’m not quite sold on this turnaround yet.
Maikel Garcia 1+ Home Run (+680)
Another third baseman that causes nightmares for opposing southpaws. Garcia isn’t known for his raw power, per se, but he did set a new career-high with 16 long balls last season. Three of those 16 came off of LHPs, as Garcia slashed an impressive .314/.404/.517 within the split with a 155 wRC+. He’s back at it in 2026. In his first 14 plate appearances against lefties, he has six hits, including two doubles and a home run. Not too shabby! If it wasn’t apparent in 2025 or at the World Baseball Classic, Garcia is becoming a star before our eyes. The 26-year-old also sports 90th percentile average exit velocity (93.1) and an 87th percentile barrel rate (15.8%).
On the other side of this matchup, we find Anthony Kay. Things are not going well for the former NPB stud. Kay has more walks (6) than strikeouts (5) through nine innings of work in 2026, and he’s also surrendered a home run in each of his two outings. A ninth percentile whiff rate (16.7%) and an eighth percentile opponent hard hit rate (58.6%) don’t make it seem like these things have been flukes, either. Expect Garcia and the Royals to do some damage this evening.
