MLB Best Bets: Top NRFI props for Tuesday 4/7/26

Tuesday offers up a loaded 15-game, 30-team MLB slate for bettors to sink their teeth into. For those looking to cash in quick, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI bet. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Keeping that in mind, which NRFI bets are worth a closer look this evening?

Ahead of today’s MLB contests, here are three NRFI bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Reds vs. Marlins NRFI (-160)

It’s been a struggle out of the gates for this Reds offense. Cincinnati is averaging 2.80 runs per game this season, second-worst in all of baseball. It’s early, but those are never the numbers you want to see. That’s especially true when facing one of the game’s premier arms in Sandy Alcantara. Despite a nightmarish 2025 campaign, the former Cy Young winner is starting to look like his old self. Through two starts, the Marlins ace has yet to allow a run over 16.0 innings. A red-hot arm against an ice-cold lineup? I’ll take my chances with the former at pitcher-friendly LoanDepot Park.

For the visitors, it’ll be Andrew Abbott on the bump. The talented southpaw has offered up a bit of a mixed bag so far. A terrific showing at home vs. Boston was followed up with a disappointing performance against Pittsburgh. Regardless, Abbott has shown a knack for early success. Last season, the 26-year-old posted a phenomenal 86.2% NRFI rate. In comparison, Miami’s offense delivered a 25.93% YRFI rate in 2025, sixth-worst in baseball. The odds are firmly in Abbott’s favor heading into Tuesday night’s showdown.

Dodgers vs. Blue Jays NRFI (-125)

Los Angeles’ offense was a runaway train on Monday, shredding the Blue Jays en route to 14 runs. While unsustainable, the defending champions are certainly capable of putting up a crooked number. With that being said, this evening could prove more difficult against Toronto ace Kevin Gausman. The two-time All-Star has plenty of history in this matchup, including last postseason. He owns a stellar 3.10 ERA over his last four meetings with the Dodgers. It’s also worth noting that LA’s lineup isn’t at full strength; Mookie Betts (oblique) won’t suit up tonight.

The biggest appeal for this bet comes during the bottom half of the inning. Yoshinobu Yamamoto has already established himself as one of the league’s best pitchers. Last season, the Japanese ace posted a 2.49 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 201 strikeouts over 173.2 innings. There’s no reason to think he can’t deliver similar, if not better, numbers this year. Yamamoto owns a career 76.2% NRFI rate on the road. In comparison, the Blue Jays posted a 28.89% YRFI rate in 2025, 12th-worst in the majors. It doesn’t take much convincing to back Los Angeles’ superstar hurler.

Phillies vs. Giants NRFI (-155)

On paper, there’s no reason to think this Phillies offense won’t continue to rank among the sport’s best. However, the Fightins haven’t gotten into a rhythm this season; they rank ninth in the NL in runs per game (4.20). Tuesday could present even more difficulty for this group. Robbie Ray has become one of baseball’s more underrated starters. Since joining San Francisco in 2024, he owns a 3.78 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 9.7 K/9 ratio. In comparison, Philadelphia recorded a 26.51% YRFI rate on the road last season, 11th-worst in the league.

With respect to Ray, the Phillies should have the edge on the mound tonight. Speaking of underrated, Cristopher Sanchez deserves mention among the game’s top pitchers. He was virtually unhittable last season, notching a 2.50 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 212 strikeouts through 202.0 innings. Unsurprisingly, the left-hander accounted for a terrific 84.4% NRFI rate as well. There’s no sugarcoating it: the Giants are a subpar (at best) offensive unit. San Francisco has scored a first inning run twice over 11 games played this season (18.18%). There’s nothing that suggests improvement against elite competition on Tuesday.
