BREAK IT DOWN:
(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Victor Wembanyama 1st Points Scorer (+420): The Spurs host the 76ers in one of the most interesting games on Monday night’s slate, with two teams still chasing meaningful playoff spots. The Spurs have been almost unbeatable since the start of February, going 27-3, but they lost to the Nuggets in Denver on Saturday. They’ll look to bounce back against Philly, and Wembanyama will remain aggressive. Wemby has scored the first basket in six of his last 13 games, an astounding 45% of those contests. He and the Spurs have won 80% of the tip-offs over the last 15 games, while the Sixers have only won 13.3% of jumpers during that span. On the season, Wembanyama leads the team with 11 first baskets made, and he’s getting very heavy usage over his last several contests. With Joel Embiid ready to play in this matchup, look for Wembanyama to take it to the former MVP right away.
Nikola Jokic Triple-Double (-150): Jokic had another monster game on Saturday, erupting for 40 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds in 44 minutes against the Spurs. He came up just short of a triple-double but has hit for a triple-double in five of his last seven games. That stretch began when he dropped 22 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists against the Trail Blazers on March 22. Jokic has averaged 25.6 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 12.3 assists over his last 16 games, carrying a huge workload for the Nuggets as they push for a favorable playoff position.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker 20+ Points (-112): The Hawks are taking on the Knicks Monday night, and the public is looking at NAW’s point total of at least 20 points as one of the night’s top plays. Alexander-Walker is averaging 20.6 points per game in his 75 games this season, boosting that number to 23.8 across his last 12 contests. He had at least 20 points in 10 games during that span, including six of his last seven. Alexander-Walker scored at least 23 points in each of his first two matchups with New York this season, and he’s a solid play to follow suit in the Monday night rematch in Atlanta.
