All 30 MLB teams take the field on Sunday — some more than once!
A loaded 16-game slate, including a Cubs-Guardians doubleheader, brings plenty of star power and value across the board. Let’s dive into three of my favorite player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best MLB player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Yordan Alvarez 3+ Hits + Runs + RBIs (+110)
Yordan Alvarez is back to full strength following an injury-riddled 2025 — and he’s seemingly making up for lost time. Through Houston’s first nine games, the lefty slugger has hit .423 with a jaw-dropping 1.475 OPS, six extra-base hits (including three home runs), and eight RBIs. He went 1-for-1 with an RBI, a run scored, and four walks in Saturday’s 11–0 rout of the Athletics.
The star outfielder looks primed to stay hot at the “Hitter’s Paradise” of Sacramento’s Sutter Health Park, teeing off against a good-not-great lefty in Jacob Lopez. Alvarez owns a career .982 OPS with 53 home runs in his career against southpaws. And against a pitcher with a 90 mph fastball and a minuscule ground-ball rate, he can clear three combined hits, runs, and RBIs with one crack of the bat.
Fernando Tatis Jr. 2+ Total Bases (+112)
The Green Monster can only do so much to protect southpaw starters from right-handed sluggers. Just 310 feet down the left-field line, any ball lifted in that direction can easily become a double or a home run. And on Sunday, superstar outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. is well-positioned to play spoiler at Ranger Suarez’s Red Sox home debut.
While he’s gotten off to a slow start, Tatis is fresh off an impressive 2025 in which he crushed 25 home runs — followed by an electric run with the Dominican Republic in the WBC. He’s also 4-for-13 (.308) with an RBI in his career against the lefty. Expect the two-time Silver Slugger to stay hot against Suarez, who recently coughed up four earned runs and a pair of homers over 4.1 frames against the Astros in Houston.
Foster Griffin Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-162)
Nationals starter Foster Griffin is coming off a triumphant return to the major leagues. In his first MLB outing since 2022, the veteran southpaw held a scrappy Philadelphia offense to a pair of runs on a two-run homer while striking out five across five innings. However, not known for his punch-out prowess, Griffin may have trouble replicating that total in his follow-up start against the mighty Dodgers.
Los Angeles has pounced on Washington’s starters during the first two games of the series, racking up 11 runs on Miles Mikolas before plating six more against Jake Irvin. Neither starter went longer than 4.1 innings — or notched more than four strikeouts.
