Connecticut Huskies vs. Illinois Fighting Illini parlay picks, predictions, and SGPs for Final Four on 4/04/26

March Madness has hit its home stretch weekend, and the opener for tonight’s Final Four doubleheader is a clash between the story of the tournamentโ€”UConn (again, somehow) and Braylan Mullins’ historic 40-foot game-winnerโ€”and the team many thought had one-seed potential at its best, the Illinois Fighting Illini. If you’re looking to build out a same-game parlay (SGP) of Final Four bets for the game today, DraftKings has you covered with dozens of markets for player props & team props for both halftime and fulltime.

DraftKings Sportsbookย has Illinois pegged as a 1.5-point home favorite. Below, I break down my favorite parlay for the game.

UConn vs. Illinois best parlay bets tonight

If you feel good about the Huskies pulling off the upset, as I do, this is my favorite three-legger of the day. Might as well call this a points, points, points parlay.

  • UConn ML
  • 1H u69.5 total points
  • Full-game u139.5 total points

Illinois is a very good offense at 83.8 points per game, but the Illini are also playing a game that has tightened as the tournament has hardened. They beat VCU 76-55, then moved through later-round games that lived much closer to this current total band than to a track meet. On the season, Illinois shoots 46.4% from the field, 34.8% from three, and 78.0% at the line, but it is not a chaos-defense team that creates easy offense in bunchesโ€”just 3.8 steals per game and a -0.9 turnover margin. That matters in a semifinal because it points toward more halfcourt possessions and fewer free runout points.

UConn is comfortable winning exactly that kind of game. The Huskies reached this spot by beating UCLA 73-57 and Duke 73-72, and those are the kind of score bands that fit this matchup. Their roster profile also supports it. Tarris Reed Jr. is at 14.7 points and 8.8 rebounds, Alex Karaban at 13.2 points and 38.6% from three, Solo Ball at 12.9 points, and Braylon Mullins at 11.9 points. This is a balanced, physical group that can score enough without needing the game to become loose. UConnโ€™s route here says it plainly: defend, rebound, survive possessions, and trust execution late.

That is why the three legs fit together. 1H Under 64.5 bets the early feeling-out stretch. Under 139.5 bets that the game stays in the halfcourt instead of opening into transition. UConn moneyline bets the closer in a game where every possession should carry weight. Illinois is elite on the glass at 41.0 rebounds per game with a +10.3 rebounding margin, but UConn has already won multiple tournament grinders, and this total says the market expects another one. My script is UConn 68, Illinois 66.

UConn vs. Illinois SGP odds: +440
