The Monte-Carlo Masters is kicking off the clay season. After a couple of great hardcourt tournaments in America, the next great event in tennis will be held on clay in Monaco.
These are my Monte-Carlo Masters best bets to target on DraftKings Sportsbook in the futures market.
2026 Monte-Carlo Masters Odds: Men’s Singles
Jannik Sinner is coming off an incredible Sunshine Double in which he won both at Indian Wells and in the Miami Open. Despite Sinner’s incredible form, Carlos Alcaraz is the odds-on favorite to win the Monte-Carlo Masters. Just like his compatriot Rafael Nadal before him, Carlos Alcaraz has become the new king of clay. Alcaraz has won back-to-back titles at Roland Garros, while that is the one major that Sinner is missing to complete the career Grand Slam. Alcaraz is also the defending champion here in Monte-Carlo.
This is an event that has been dominated by Spaniards over the past two decades. In the past 23 Monte-Carlo Masters, 14 have been won by Spaniards. That is mostly thanks to Nadal, who won eight of these in a row from 2005 to 2012. Alcaraz is now hoping to go on a similarly dominant run in Monte Carlo after winning his first title last year.
For many players, this is the first clay tournament they have played all year. That is why Nadal was always so dominant here. He was so naturally gifted on clay that he didn’t need to warm up for the clay season. Nadal was instantly the best player in the world when he hit the clay despite being alongside the greats like Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. Alcaraz has been on that same level the last two years on clay. He has a long way to go to match the likes of Nadal’s dominance on clay, but he is well on his way.
Outside of Sinner and Alcaraz, there is a massive drop-off in talent. The player with the third-best odds, Alexander Zverev, is at +1400. This tournament, like almost every big tournament, comes down to Sinner and Alcaraz. While Sinner has just dominated the Sunshine Double, it is Alcaraz’s turn to take the title here in Monte Carlo.

Best Monte-Carlo Masters Long Shot Bet
This tournament truly does seem like a battle of Sinner vs. Alcaraz. Of course, those two have dominated tennis the past couple of years, but there are also several big names missing from this event. Most notably, the legendary Novak Djokovic is out for this tournament with the same injury that kept him out in Miami. World No. 8 Taylor Fritz and Miami Open semifinalist Arthur Fils will also both miss this tournament.
When looking at long shots in this field, I’m frankly not considering anyone on Alcaraz’s half of the bracket. He should dominate his way through the tournament, and at least in a final, there is some chance to hedge against him if your man gets there. Also, picking on the opposite side of the bracket gives every possible chance for someone else to take out Alcaraz before you have to.
The player that I’m targeting for a long shot futures bet is an underdog in the first round. So, there is a real chance that this bet could be over before it even gets a chance to start. However, the price on Stefanos Tsitsipas is too high to ignore.
At 100/1 odds, I can’t pass up on Tsitsipas. Before Carlos Alcaraz won the title last year, Tsitsipas had won three of the previous four Monte-Carlo Masters titles. Tsitsipas has always been a strong player on clay. He has made it to at least the quarterfinals in four of the past six French Opens, including a trip to the final in 2021. This tournament is by far the best venue of Tsitsipas’s career. He has three career Masters 1000 titles and all three came in Monte Carlo.
Tsitsipas has not had a great start to the year, but he has not been as strong on hard court the last couple of years. Tsitsipas did upset Alex de Minaur in Miami, at least showing some signs of life ahead of this tournament. The biggest concern here is that Tsitsipas would likely need to upset Jannik Sinner in the Round of 16. However, that could be the best time to take down the Italian, while he is still adjusting to life on clay. It would take some big upsets for Tsitsipas to pull it off, but that is why his odds are 100/1. For a guy who has won the title here in three of the past five years, I will take those odds.
