They are now trying to use that momentum to chase down Arsenal in the Premier League. Additionally, Manchester City would love to win the domestic cup double by adding an FA Cup to their Carabao Cup. The legendary Pep Guardiola is expected to leave at the end of the season. Manchester City want to send him off in the best way possible, and in Guardiola’s mind, that means with as many trophies as possible.

My best bet for this match is for Liverpool and Manchester City to go over 2.5 goals and for both teams to score. These two great sides have already faced off twice in the Premier League, and both matches went over 2.5 goals. The Blues won 3-0 at the Etihad in November, and they won 2-1 in a thriller at Anfield in February. Liverpool have had their struggles, but they have scored at least once in 14 of their past 16 games. They will be desperate to move along in the FA Cup and will push to score goals. However, Liverpool have also been vulnerable at the back and they are likely to concede. Especially because Liverpool are likely to be short-handed with Jeremie Frimpong injured on international duty and Conor Bradley out for the season. This could be Pep Guardiola’s final match against Liverpool, and it should be a great high-scoring battle.
