Jalen Brunson 25+ Points (-107): Brunson had a stinker (12 points on five-for-14 shooting) last night as his New York Knicks lost to the Houston Rockets, but his scoring bona fides shouldn’t be doubted. The southpaw is still one of basketball’s premier bucket-getters, reaching the 25-point threshold in three of his last four games and seven of his last 11. The Memphis Grizzlies’ defense shouldn’t provide him with much of a challenge; since the trade deadline, the Grizzlies rank fourth-to-last in defensive rating. Brunson playing limited minutes in a blowout is always a possibility, but for the Knicks to rout Memphis, they’ll need at least some offensive production from their captain.
Kevin Durant 25+ Points (-110): Durant has been the focal point of the Rockets’ offense all season, but he’s especially picked up his scoring load as of late, reaching the 25-point threshold in eight of his last 12 games, including 27 in last night’s win over New York. In that span, he’s been ludicrously efficient, canning 62.5% of his twos and 44.4% of his threes. He has a pretty easy matchup tonight against the Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Milwaukee Bucks, who rank fifth-to-last in defensive rating since January 24 (a span in which Antetokounmpo has played only 162 total minutes). While a rout is a possibility, he’s had 25 or more points in fewer than 32 minutes six times this season.
Jaylen Brown 25+ Points (-172): The Boston Celtics guard’s scoring numbers haven’t seen much of a dip since Jayson Tatum returned from his torn Achilles, as he’s averaged 27.0 points per game in 11 contests since Tatum’s return (nine of which Tatum played in). He’s reached the 25-point threshold in each of his last six games, including five alongside Tatum, and he had 29 points, albeit on nine-for-29 shooting, last night in the Celtics’ 112-102 loss against the red-hot Atlanta Hawks. He has a great matchup tonight against the Miami Heat, who have had the fifth-worst defense in their last 10 games and play at the league’s fifth-fastest pace.
