Mets at Cardinals game delayed due to rain Wednesday 4/1/26

UPDATE: Mets at Cardinals will begin at 2:15 p.m. ET.

With the turn of the calendar to April, it seems spring showers are already here! The start of Wednesday afternoon’s matchup between the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals has been delayed due to rain.

First pitch was initially scheduled for 1:15 p.m. ET at Busch Stadium but inclement weather in the area will prevent the contest from starting on time. The new start time has not yet been announced.

DraftKings Sportsbook lists the Mets as -186 road favorites on the Moneyline today. The Cardinals are +137 underdogs with the run total set at 7.5.

Right-hander Freddy Peralta starts for New York today, with lefty Matthew Liberatore on the mound for St. Louis once things get underway.

Both teams are 3-2 to begin the 2026 campaign, splitting the first two games of this series as well.
