Home runs. Long balls. Bleacher reachers. Whatever you want to call them, people love watching and betting on home run props during baseball games. So much so, we’ve got a whole article dedicated to just that.
Here are my top three home run prop picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Tuesday’s slate: Marcell Ozuna, Shea Langeliers and TJ Rumfield.
Let’s break them down.
Top MLB Home Run Props
Marcell Ozuna 1+ Home Run (+300)
It has not been a great start to Ozuna’s time with the Pirates, as the veteran DH is 1-for-12 (.083) with a single and two walks through his first three games of 2026. However, for his career, Ozuna possesses a .202 ISO and a 124 wRC+ against LHPs. Tonight’s matchup with Brandon Williamson feels like it could be the cure to Ozuna’s mini slump. Williamson hasn’t thrown a competitive pitch at the MLB level since undergoing Tommy John surgery back in 2024. Prior to that, the southpaw had tossed 131.1 innings for the Reds, primarily back in 2023, and it would not be incorrect to say that Williamson had his issues keeping the ball in the yard. In fact, in 60.0 career innings at Great American Ball Park, Williamson’s surrendered 14 home runs — which equates out to a whopping 2.10 opponent long balls per nine. Williamson’s stuff isn’t going to blow anyone away and he’s not really the type to generate many whiffs. He’s the perfect target for a home run prop this evening.
Shea Langeliers 1+ Home Run (+373)
It just feels like the Athletics have to break out at some point, right? After getting shutout by the Braves on Monday, the A’s are now 0-4 with a 44 wRC+ as a team. There were certainly question marks about this pitching staff coming into 2026, but I’m not sure anyone was doubting the upside and talent in this lineup. Shea Langeliers has been basically the only man doing anything through the first week of the season, slashing .375/.412/.938 with three home runs in his 17 plate appearances. I’d look for him to stay in a groove on Tuesday night in a matchup with the left-handed Jose Suarez. In 2025, Langeliers led the Athletics with a .554 expected slugging percentage against southpaws — which was also a top 20 mark among all qualified hitters. Meanwhile, Suarez hasn’t been a full-time starter since 2022, and he’s allowed 1.63 home runs per nine to opposing RHBs across his entire career. If the Braves weren’t drowning in pitcher injuries, Suarez would not be toeing the rubber in this spot.
TJ Rumfield 1+ Home Run (+630)
I’ll be honest, I’m not 100% sure which version of Max Scherzer we’re going to see tonight. The 41-year-old looked sort of cooked by September of last season, and even though things went a little better in the playoffs, Scherzer still managed to concede 22 home runs in just 99.1 innings of work as a member of the Blue Jays. In the regular season alone, the future first ballot Hall of Fame arm surrendered 2.45 long balls per nine to opposing LHBs. Much like the aforementioned Suarez, I’m not positive Scherzer is on an MLB mound this evening if not for an avalanche of pitcher injuries on Toronto’s roster. Although, he did throw 13.2 scoreless innings in Spring Training, and he swears the thumb ailment that’s plagued him in the past two years is now a thing of the past. I guess we’ll see. With all that said, I don’t mind taking a shot on Rumfield with odds this enticing. Rumfield’s MLB career has gotten off to a hot start with a 190 wRC+ in his opening 16 plate appearances. There’s undoubtedly some pop in this left-handed bat.
