There are only seven games on the slate tonight, tipping off at 7 PM EST with the Suns visiting the Magic. The Clippers will host the Blazers to end the night at 11 PM EST.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Kawhi Leonard More Than 28.5 Points
Leonard is averaging a career-high 28.2 PPG and should keep things rolling tonight against the Blazers, who are admittedly doing a good job on the defensive end this season with 113.6 DEFRTG. Leonard, however, is matchup proof. The superstar wing is in the midst of a contract season and is certainly proving his value to Steve Ballmer (and the rest of the league), as he’s almost single handidly dragging the Clippers to a playoff position even after the team shipped away James Harden and Ivica Zubac this season. They did get some pieces back such as Darius Garland and Bennedict Mathurin, who are both playing well, but Leonard is the centerpiece here and will be the main offensive creator on this team.

Kevin Durant Less Than 26.5 Points
Durant recently popped for 40 in an eight point loss to the Chicago Bulls, but he’s failed to reach that mark in the three games since. His most recent game against the Pelicans was a mere 20 points on 7/16 shooting in the Rockets’ 32 point dismantling of the Pelicans. Durant’s powers have surely waned a bit as he has aged, but he’s still capable of occasional big scoring nights. His efficiency is still as sharp as ever, with him slashing .517/.406/.879 this season at the age of 37.
Tonight’s matchup against the Knicks is tricky. The Knicks are posting a strong 112.2 DEFRTG and have plenty of lengthy wing defenders such as Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, and Josh Hart they can throw in Durant’s direction. I’m anticipating Durant to fall short of his 26.5 mark tonight given the difficulty of this matchup and the fact that he only scored 20 against one of the worst defenses in the league in the Pelicans.

Nic Claxton Less Than 5.5 Rebounds
This line may look a bit too low for Claxton, whose career average is a robust 7.6 RPG, but there’s nuance here. Claxton’s only been playing sub 22 minutes in his last 10 games, during which he’s averaged 6.2 RPG. The Nets appear to be scaling down his workload as the season progresses as they don’t have much to play for. He’ll continue getting his minutes monitored the rest of the way, and tonight he’ll play against the Hornets who are allowing just 47.9 RPG, the lowest mark in the league.
