Brent Rooker More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Brent Rooker has turned in three consecutive 30-home run seasons for the Athletics. He has become one of the most consistent power hitters in baseball, racking up two All-Star appearances, a Silver Slugger and a top-10 finish in MVP voting over the last three years. Rooker also incredibly played all 162 games for the A’s last season. Today’s matchup against Jose Suarez is a dream come true for Rooker. In five career at-bats against Suarez, Rooker has three home runs. Last season, Rooker was fantastic against left-handed pitching. He had a 119 tOPS+ against left-handed pitchers and had an .885 OPS. Jose Suarez has only made 11 total starts over the past three seasons. In his career, right-handed hitters have an .826 OPS against him. Rooker should be able to do some serious damage against Suarez and record more than 1.5 total bases.
Jameson Taillon More Than 4.5 Strikeouts Thrown
Jameson Taillon should turn in a good performance in his first start of the season. He is facing the Angels inside the friendly confines of Wrigley Field. Nobody in baseball struck out more than the Angels last season, averaging over 10 strikeouts per game. It was not particularly close as the Angels struck out 96 more times than the next-worst team. Things have not improved to start 2026, as Los Angeles has struck out 55 times over its first five games, an average of 11 strikeouts per game. Only the Athletics have struck out more this season. Jameson Taillon should be able to keep that going. Taillon was much better when at Wrigley Field last season. He had a 3.05 ERA at home, compared to a 4.20 ERA on the road. Taillon also threw 7.8 strikeouts per nine innings at Wrigley, compared to 6.0 per game on the road. Between his strong home number and the Angels’ terrible strikeout numbers, Taillon should record at least five strikeouts in his first start of the season.
Juan Soto More Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Juan Soto has gotten off to a strong start in 2026. Through four games, he is batting .353 with an .862 OPS. Soto has at least one hit in all four games and has four RBIs racked up. Despite a slow start to his Mets tenure (by his standards), Soto still finished the season with 43 home runs and 105 RBIs. This is one of the best hitters in baseball, and he should continue to prove it as this season goes on. Soto was much better against right-handed pitching last season, sporting a .996 OPS against right-handed pitchers. He hit 32 of his 43 home runs off righties and had much more power when facing right-handers. There are also no concerns about the Mets being on the road here, as Soto’s numbers were actually slightly better away from Citi Field last season. Andre Pallante is coming off the worst season of his career. Last season, he had a 5.31 ERA and a -1.1 WAR. Soto should be able to get on base and generate some runs for the Mets in this game.

Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
