DraftKings will be running it’s popular King of the Court promo on tonight’s four-game NBA slate. Users who opt have the chance to split $1 million in bonus bets by placing a player prop bet on the DraftKings Sportsbook on the player who ultimately leads that night in total points, rebounds and assists.
Seems simple enough, right? Why wouldn’t you just place a bet and use your token on the highest usage option on that slate and call it a day? Well, the bonus bet split is smaller depending on how popular the player is with the betting public, so there could be some value in taking a contrarian approach. That means no Luka Doncic, Kawhi Leonard or Kevin Durant picks in this article.
With that in mind, here are a couple under the radar King of the Court picks for Tuesday night’s basketball action.
King of the Court Value Picks
Ryan Rollins, Milwaukee Bucks
Did you know that Pete Nance played 38.5 minutes for the Bucks on Sunday night? Yeah. That’s pretty much where we are at this point in the NBA season. Milwaukee is in a full-on tank mode, as it actually owns its own first-round pick in this summer’s draft. That means Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee), Kevin Porter Jr. (knee) and Bobby Portis (wrist) will all be watching tonight’s contest in street clothes. However, both Ryan Rollins and Kyle Kuzma are probable to suit up against the Mavericks — a team that is also actively tanking — so this is actually a pretty nice matchup for some King of the Court aspirations. You don’t have to go too far back to see flashes of Rollins’ ceiling, either. On March 25 versus Portland, the guard racked up 36 points, four rebounds and four assists with a 44.1% usage rate in 31.0 minutes. In the Bucks’ surprising March 19 victory over the Suns, Rollins narrowly missed a triple-double, registering 26 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists with a 34.2% usage rate in 33.2 minutes. He’s the team’s No. 1 option at the moment. Heck, he might be the No. 2 and No. 3 option, as well.

Scottie Barnes, Toronto Raptors
Generally speaking, Barnes has not scored enough to warrant true King of the Court consideration. To that point, Barnes has only reached the 25-point plateau once in a start since all the way back on January 21. It’s just not his game. He’d rather dish out assists and play defense, placating to Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett on the offensive end of the court. However, Ingram (heel) has missed two of the Raptors’ last four contests due to injury, and he’s questionable to return to action tonight. Immanuel Quickley (foot) has also been sidelined as of late, which has forced Barnes back into a point-forward role. This is version of Barnes that can be a PRA demon. The All-Star is averaging 12.3 assists per game in his last four starts, a span of time where he’s exceeded 20 points on three occasions. It’s not like Barnes is a slouch on the glass, either. Remember, he tied Toronto’s franchise record for rebounds in a single game earlier in this season (25). It’s rare all these elements of Barnes’ skill-set play out on the same night, but when they do… The sky is the limit. Let’s shoot for some upside here.
