I’ve taken today’s most popular MLB player props on DraftKings Sportsbook and broken down exactly why the public is so fond of these, helping you make informed picks ahead of Monday’s MLB slate. However, a couple things to note. First, home run props are by far the most popular market in MLB betting, so I might reach a little further down the list to shake things up on occasion. Speaking of, let’s just assume that a lot of people are betting on Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge and Kyle Schwarber to hit long balls every time they take the field. Deal? Deal.

Juan Soto 1+ Home Run (+376): Kyle Leahy will start this evening for the Cardinals. There’s a couple things you should know about the 28-year-old. While Leahy has thrown 136.2 innings for St. Louis the past two seasons, 94 of his 95 appearances in that span have been out of the bullpen. Also, the right-hander’s splits are pretty distinct. In his career, Leahy’s held opposing RHBs to a microscopic .316 slugging percentage. That figure goes up 100 points when Leahy is facing an LHB. Soto is left-landed. Soto is still searching for his first home run of 2026, too. I don’t mind his chances to do some damage in this spot, especially with the Cardinals’ bullpen in possession of a 10.38 ERA after three games.
Brandon Lowe 1+ Home Run (+405): One series doesn’t cement the value of a trade, but what a first impression for Brandon Lowe in a Pirates’ uniform. Lowe didn’t just go deep twice on Opening Day, he slashed .417/.500/1.250 over his 14 plate appearances against the Mets, giving Pittsburgh a legitimately scary bat in the middle of its lineup. Monday does not present an easy matchup in the form of phenom Chase Burns — who posted a 2.65 FIP in 43.1 innings with the Reds last season — but Burns is right-handed and the game is taking place at Great American Ball Park. They don’t call it “Great American Small Park” for no reason. Remember that.
Munetaka Murakami 1+ Home Run (+390): The White Sox were swept by the Brewers to open their 2026 campaign, but Munetaka Murakami was not to blame. The Japanese import registered a hit in all three games, and all three hits left the park. The public is now keen to see the rookie make it four games in a row to begin his MLB career. Chris Paddack will be the one standing in his way, as the veteran gets the call for the Marlins. On the whole, Paddack seems like a very good matchup for Murakami. Not only did Paddack surrender 1.99 home runs per nine to opposing LHBs in 2025, but he did so with a 10th percentile strikeout rate (16.7%). Murakami has a lot of swing and miss in his bat, yet Paddack does not appear to be the type of pitcher to exploit that flaw.
