At long last, baseball has returned to Sunday afternoons.
We’ve got an 11-game slate, with star players from iconic franchises going head-to-head at some of the game’s most famous ballparks. And with plenty of player props on the board, here are three of my favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Roman Anthony 2+ Hits (+216)
Boston has a rising superstar on its hands. At just 21, outfielder Roman Anthony hit .292 with an .859 OPS and eight home runs across 71 games last season before getting shut down due to injury. He returned to action this spring, launching a pair of moonshots for Team USA in the WBC, and now he’s picking up right where he left off in his first full season with the Red Sox.
The lefty slugger has gone 4-for-9 (.444) with an RBI and a run scored through his first two games of the season at Cincinnati’s hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park. And on Sunday, he’ll take on Reds’ right-hander Rhett Lowder, whose major-league experience is limited to a handful of appearances in 2024. While he held a 1.17 ERA across six starts (30.2 innings), the 24-year-old’s 4.37 xERA, 41.3% hard-hit rate, and 17.2% strikeout rate are causes for concern against one of the league’s brightest emerging talents.
Luis Morales Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+105)
Right-hander Luis Morales got his first cup of coffee in the majors last season, holding a 3.14 ERA and 1.15 WHIP across 10 outings (48.2 innings) for the Athletics. But despite being armed with a 97 mph heater, the 23-year-old struggled to put away opposing hitters. Albeit a small sample size, Morales carded a pedestrian 23.4% chase rate and 21.6% strikeout rate.
His underlying metrics — underscored by a 4.42 xERA — will likely boil to the surface Sunday afternoon against the American League champion Blue Jays, who exploit pitching weaknesses like no other. Toronto in 2025 led the majors in hits and on-base percentage, while also boasting the game’s lowest strikeout rate. The Jays are back to their pesky ways in 2026 and look poised to cause problems for the young A’s fireballer.
Pete Alonso 2+ Total Bases (-102)
Pete Alonso picked up his first hit in an Orioles uniform on Saturday against the Twins, a base knock serving as merely an appetizer of what’s to come from the $155 million man.
The “Polar Bear” arrived in Baltimore on the heels of a blistering final season with the Mets. The star first baseman demolished 38 homers, and his .871 OPS marked his highest since his historic rookie campaign in 2019. Alonso, 31, also ranked in MLB’s top 95th percentile or higher in batting run value, xSLG, average exit velocity, and barrel rate, among other key metrics.
New York’s franchise home run king is well-positioned to start burnishing a new legacy Sunday afternoon against Minnesota right-hander Bailey Ober. It seems that opposing hitters have finally caught up to his, um, 90 mph fastball, with the Twins veteran coming off a disastrous campaign in 2025. Ober ranked in MLB’s bottom tenth percentile in pitching run value, barrel rate, and ground-ball percentage. Oh, and Alonso is 1-for-3 with a homer against him in his career.
