Ricky Simon takes on Adrian Yanez in a three-round Bantamweight bout at tonight’s UFC Fight Night Prelims. Simon is 10-6 in the UFC while Yanez is 6-3 in the promotion. Both fighters enter this bout off a loss. The Prelims for this card begin at 5:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+. This event is taking place in Seattle, Washington, and is headlined by Israel Adesanya vs. Joe Pyfer.

Ricky Simon Moneyline (-175)

Although he is coming off a loss to Raoni Barcelos, Simon is 2-1 in his previous three contests. Yanez is the better striker, while Simon has the edge on the ground. Yanez averages 3.19 more significant strikes per minute, but Simon is the more accurate striker while being better defensively. Also on the ground, Simon lands 4.66 takedowns per 15 minutes at a 41 percent rate.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Simon is a -175 favorite, with Yanez a +145 underdog in this bout. The over/under is set at 2.5 rounds with the over being -180. Although Yanez has good takedown defense and is an above-average striker, he hasn’t been as effective recently. Yanez is also coming off a long layoff, as his last fight was 15 months ago in December 2024. With all that being said, I’m taking Simon to beat Yanez because he’s the more versatile fighter with more ways to win.
