Prediction, pick for Julian Erosa vs. Lerryan Douglas at UFC Seattle

Seasoned veteran meets surging prospect Saturday night, as featherweight staple Julian Erosa welcomes the debuting Lerryan Douglas to the Octagon at UFC Seattle.

Erosa (31–13, 9–8 UFC) had his three-fight winning streak snapped by Melquizael Costa via unanimous decision in May. Meanwhile, Douglas (13–5, 0–0 UFC) enters his UFC debut on a five-fight surge, punctuated by a 36-second knockout of Cam Teague on Dana White’s Contender Series in September.

Douglas enters as a -340 moneyline favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, while Erosa sits as a +270 underdog. The total is set at 1.5 rounds.

Erosa vs. Douglas Preview

Julian Erosa

Julian Erosa has had a streaky UFC run since his 2018 debut, going 9–8 inside the Octagon. His recent three-fight win streak — all first-round finishes — was snapped by a unanimous decision loss to Melquizael Costa in May.

At 36, “Juicy J” is an ultra-aggressive striker and opportunistic grappler who’s constantly hunting for a finish. The veteran southpaw owns an 84% career finish rate, with 12 knockouts and 14 submissions — including nine first-round stoppages.

Still, Erosa often leaves himself exposed in heated exchanges, and eight of his 13 professional losses have come by knockout.

Lerryan Douglas

Brazilian prospect Lerryan Douglas made the most of his September appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series, needing just 36 seconds to send Cam Teague to the shadow realm.

Here, check this out — Dana White’s reaction says it all:

An explosive product of Cub Swanson’s Bloodline Combat, “Gunslinger” packs wrecking-ball power with a 77% finish rate — including seven knockouts and six first-round stoppages. At 30, Douglas now looks to make a statement in his Octagon debut.

Erosa vs. Douglas Pick, Best Bet

Saturday’s bout presents Lerryan Douglas with a golden opportunity to start his UFC career in highlight fashion. The surging Brazilian should be too quick, and too powerful for the grizzled American veteran — one with an increasingly compromised chin. Expect “Gunslinger” to put the featherweight division on notice with another brutal knockout.

Best Bet: Lerryan Douglas by KO/TKO/DQ (-185)
