Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+164): Ohtani to hit a home run is almost a lock to be in the most bet props every day at this point. Ohtani totaled 99 homers over the last two years, but he’s still stuck on zero through his first nine plate appearances. It feels like he’s overdue, especially since he also didn’t hit any blasts in spring training. He did hit three homers in four games for Japan in the WBC, though, so he still has plenty of power to get his first dinger of the season in Saturday’s matchup against lefty Eduardo Rodriguez. It’s a lefty-lefty matchup, but last year, 15 of his 55 homers were on that side of the split and 29 came at home. In their previous meetings, Ohtani is 5-for-19 with a homer and two doubles off Rodriguez. He’s always an elite option, and his first homer of the season could definitely come Saturday night.
Aaron Judge 1+ Home Run (+229): Judge got his first homer on Friday, going yard off lefty Robbie Ray. Judge is only 1-for-9 on the year, but he is always a strong option for home run props after hitting 58 and 53 in the last two seasons. On Saturday, he’ll be facing Tyler Mahle, making his Giants debut. Last year, Mahle gave up five homers in 16 starts with the Rangers, and he has been eased back into action with just 10 innings this spring for San Francisco. He has stretched out to 50+ pitches but probably won’t work deep into the game, and Judge has huge home run potential in almost any matchup.
Cal Raleigh 1+ Home Run (+269): The public is also backing Raleigh to go yard on Saturday night. The Mariners play the final game of the night against the Guardians and lefty Joey Cantillo. Raleigh is 0-for-7 with a walk and seven strikeouts in the first two games of the season, and he is still looking for his first ball in play during the regular season. He had one homer in his nine spring training games, but last year, he hit 50 homers with 22 coming against lefties, and he hit .281 with a .429 wOBA and 186 wRC+ on that side of the splits. He hasn’t gotten one yet this season, but the public expects Big Dumper to get rolling again on Saturday.
