We’re almost at the season’s halfway point, so let’s hit a quick recap for Rooster, shall we? Greg Russo came to Ludlow for what should’ve been a simple campus stop, and got pulled into Katie’s very public personal blowup, the kind of mess that instantly becomes departmental gossip and a professional problem, not just a family one. Episode 2 leaned into the cleanup comedy—Greg trying to show up for her in ways that feel big and dumb and sincere, while Archie’s own humiliations kept him tethered to the campus ecosystem instead of disappearing offscreen. Episode 3 then locks the premise in: Greg’s first real day teaching at Ludlow as Katie deals with a suspension, with Archie getting dragged deeper into Sunny’s world through the academic logistics of it all.

Now, Episode 4 looks like the first true new-normal chapter—Greg ducking Walt’s faculty-party orbit by throwing himself into helping a student, and Katie, with the suspension lifted, testing what moving forward actually looks like when the campus still remembers everything.
