Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+161): Look, I think Ohtani could be going up against prime Roger Clemens and he’d still be among the most popular home run bets on the slate. That’s just how this works. He’s Shohei Ohtani. He’s won three straight MVP Awards and no one’s hit more long balls since the beginning of 2023 (153). All that said, Ryne Nelson’s a decent major league pitcher that absolutely shut down opposing LHBs last year. To wit, lefties slashed just .191/.256/.309 off Nelson with a .251 wOBA — the third-lowest mark of any qualified pitcher. These trends have played out across the pair’s past meetings, as well, with Ohtani just 2-for-13 with a .406 OPS.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1+ Home Run (+321): Guerrero as a pure power bat is always an interesting scenario. Does Vladdy possess elite pop? Of course. Yet the former top prospect has always seemed to prefer to hit for average rather than hunting home runs. In fact, despite over 680 plate appearances in each of the past three seasons, Guerrero’s only hit 30-plus long balls once. Still, 97th percentile bat speed (76.7) and a 96th percentile expected wOBA (.384) are pretty alluring. I can understand why the public is backing him in his first contest in Toronto since Game 7 of the World Series. Luis Severino only surrendered 0.67 opponent home runs per nine away from Sacramento in 2025, yet Vladdy should also get a couple cracks at an underwhelming A’s bullpen.
Sandy Alcantara 6+ Strikeouts Thrown (-110): Despite being a former Cy Young Award winner with great stuff, Alcantara’s never really been a strikeout artist. That was made painfully clear in 2025, as the right-hander posted just a 9.3% swinging strike — easily a career-low. The popularity of this prop isn’t about Alcantara, though. It’s almost certainly about the Rockies. Colorado was the worst lineup in baseball when playing at normal altitude in 2025, struggling to a .203 average with a 63 wRC+. The Rockies also had the highest strikeout rate within the split at 28.6%, because of course they did. Look for Sandy to take advantage.
