Jalen Duren 20+ Points (-277): Cade Cunningham (ribs) remains out and Duren has been a beast with the guard sidelined this season. In the seven starts Duren has made sans Cunningham, Duren is averaging 23.0 PPG and he has reached 20 points in all but one of these games. Cunningham leads the Pistons in usage, and with him off the floor, Duren becomes the team’s top dog, with the big man’s usage rate rising 2.6 percentage points to 26.5%. At home and facing a No. 24 rated Pelicans’ defense tonight, Duren is a lock to reach 20 points.
Jalen Duren First Point Scorer (+420): Continuing with Duren, him being the first point scorer for tonight’s matchup vs. the Pelicans is very possible. Duren has scored the first basket in nine games this season, which is the most of any player in this contest. In the first minute of the seven games Duren has played with Cunningham inactive this season, Duren has produced 18 points and he is leading the Pistons with a 28.6% usage rate.
Paolo Banchero 20+ Points (-411): Similar to Duren, Banchero is handling a large role right now with some of his key teammates sidelined. Franz Wagner (ankle) and Anthony Black (shoulder) both remain out for the Magic. Banchero has made 12 starts with Wagner and Black inactive this season and he is leading Orlando with 27.1 PPG in these tilts. Banchero has scored at least 20 points in 10 of these 12, and with Wagner and Black off the floor, Banchero leads the Magic with a 30.5% usage rate, which is a 2.0 percentage point increase from his average. The forward is going against the Kings tonight, who rank 28th in defensive rating. Orlando’s implied team total is a slate-high 123.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook and Banchero scoring less than 20 points in this spot would be a surprise.
