DraftKings will be running it’s popular King of the Court promo on tonight’s four-game NBA slate. Users who opt have the chance to split $2 million in bonus bets by placing a player prop bet on the DraftKings Sportsbook on the player who ultimately leads that night in total points, rebounds and assists.
Seems simple enough, right? Why wouldn’t you just place a bet and use your token on the highest usage option on that slate and call it a day? Remember Malik Monk? The guy who has been trapped on the Kings all season long and sometimes isn’t even in the team’s rotation? Well, he finally got a chance to shine in Sunday night’s victory over the Nets, dropping a season-high 32 points off the bench with six assists. The reason for Monk’s sudden offensive outburst was simple: Sacramento had nowhere else to turn. Russell Westbrook (foot) and Keegan Murray (ankle) were injured. Heck, Nique Clifford (foot) and Killian Hayes (foot) suffered ailments during the win, and now the former has been ruled out on Tuesday, while the latter is listed as questionable. If Hayes eventually ends up in street clothes, we could see Monk start for the first time in 2025-26 in this matchup with the Hornets. We could also see Monk build on his team-high 35.2% usage rate from against Brooklyn. That kind of opportunity for an asset shooting 40.1% from three-point range can not be ignored in King of the Court.

Trey Murphy III, New Orleans Pelicans
This pick is purely about volume. We all know that Trey Murphy can score the basketball. He’s got 10 games with at least 30 points so far in 2025-26, and three games with at least 40 points — including a career-high 44 on February 4 against the Bucks. However, the interesting part of Murphy’s current role on the Pelicans is just how much he’s on the court. It’s the end of March and New Orleans is 22 games below .500 and nine games back of the Warriors for the final spot in the Play-In Tournament. That said, the Pelicans aren’t tanking or strategically resting their players, as they traded their first-round pick in the upcoming draft to the Hawks last summer. There’s no incentive, so instead, Murphy is logging an eye-popping 38.3 minutes per contest over the team’s past three matchups. Let’s add in a little narrative street about the Garden, too. We all know players love to go off under the lights at MSG. Maybe tonight’s the night Murphy goes for 50.
