The first one seed is down as Iowa defeated Florida in the second round. That’s a major upset against the reigning national champions, and the reward is a rivalry game against Nebraska. Alvaro Folgueiras nailed the game-winning three-pointer to make Iowa’s first Sweet 16 appearance since 1999.
Nebraska also came down to a final shot. Braden Frager made a layup with two seconds remaining, and Tyler Tanner’s half-court heave went in and out. Vanderbilt was inches away from the Sweet 16, but it’ll be Nebraska who survives the first weekend.
