The NBA has five games on Sunday’s slate, and the finale in Phoenix is a nice matchup between two teams fighting for playoff positioning. The Toronto Raptors roll into the Mortgage Matchup Center to face the Phoenix Suns at 9 p.m. ET. In what should be an important matchup for both sides, let’s break it down and find a few strong player prop bets to consider from this Raptors-Suns matchup.
In the bigger picture, the Raptors are 3.5-point road favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, with a game total of 219.5 points.
The Suns are looking to snap a five-game losing streak and have slipped to 39-32 after losing back-to-back close games. They lost by one point in San Antonio on Thursday and by three points to the Bucks on Saturday. The team will face the Raptors on the second night of a back-to-back, just like they did in Toronto last Friday, when the Raptors won 122-115. The Raptors are 3-1 dating back to that win and are 39-30 overall, good enough for the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Suns have sunk to the No. 7 spot in the West and will need to move up the standings to avoid the Play-In Tournament.
Of note on the injury report for Sunday night, Collin Murray-Boyles is questionable for the Raptors, while the Suns listed Grayson Allen as out for a fourth straight game. Mark Williams and Dillon Brooks also remain out and Royce O’Neale is questionable. Let’s find a few strong player prop bets to consider in this Raptors-Suns rematch.
Raptors vs. Suns Best Prop Bets
Jakob Poeltl o20.5 Points + Rebounds (-109)
Poeltl has been playing well lately and has been taking on more work as the team ramps up for the postseason. The veteran averaged 28.8 minutes per game over his last six contests and produced 15.2 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.
He has gone over this prop line in three straight games and in six of his last 10. A back injury has forced him to miss games and often play fewer minutes, but he has looked good as he gets closer to full strength.
Without Williams, the Suns are having to piece things together at center, and it should be a favorable matchup for Poeltl, who is coming off an excellent 23-point, 11-rebound game on Friday against the Nuggets.
Collin Gillespie o17.5 Points + Assists (-119)
While Jalen Green and Devin Booker are doing most of the heavy lifting in the offense, the injuries to Brooks and Allen have allowed Gillespie to remain involved as well. Gillespie is averaging 13.3 points and 4.8 assists per game this season, putting him just over this prop line.
In his last three games with Allen out, he has played 33+ minutes and gone over this prop line with 19 points + assists, 30 points + assists, and 24 points + assists. He’s had at least six assists in each of those games and has scored at least 12 points.
Gillespie does rely on three-point shooting for much of his scoring, so he can be a little volatile, but without Allen, he gets enough work to make the over on this combo prop a solid way to back the breakout contributor.
Brandon Ingram o1.5 3PM (-105)
Ingram knocked down five three-pointers against the Suns last week, and he has posted multiple 3PM in three of his last five games and 10 of his last 20.
On the season, Ingram is averaging 1.8 3PM per game, and he is shooting 37.8% from long-range.
Since this is a matchup that he had success in recently, and the Suns are missing key defensive pieces on the wings, Ingram has a good chance to make multiple threes in this contest. He is a great even-money play to consider to start out my Sunday night player props.

He has scored at least eight points in eight of his last 12 games and will continue to play big minutes with Williams out. With Allen and potentially O’Neale out as well, there’s more offensive workload available for Ighodaro, who has shown a very high ceiling in his second season out of Marquette.
