Every long-run metric in practice belonged to the No. 45 23XI Toyota — 42 laps on one set of tires, best consecutive 15 and 20 lap averages in group two. Crew chief Billy Scott said before practice he wanted to get to lap 40 to understand tire wear, and the car was still fast when he got there. That kind of long-run confidence is rare at a track where everyone else is just trying to hang on.
Reddick has three runner-up and five top-five finishes in eight Gen-7 Darlington starts. He has never won here, which means the resume is overdue for one more result. Everything in practice pointed toward a car that gets stronger as the race goes long, and Darlington will go very long on Sunday.

Fourteenth on the speed chart after practice tells you nothing about where the No. 11 JRG Toyota will be on Sunday. Hamlin ran 40 laps, managed his tires deliberately, and finished fifth in group two on consecutive lap averages — which is the number that matters at this track. Last week at Las Vegas, he absorbed a pit road penalty and still won the race on long-run pace alone.
He is the defending winner here with four top-10 finishes in his last four Darlington starts. The 750-horsepower package rewards patience over raw speed, and nobody in this field extracts more from a tire deep in a run than Denny Hamlin.

Among all drivers who ran meaningful laps in practice, Byron posted the second-lowest falloff in the field, with his times holding steady across 30 laps at a track where everyone else was bleeding speed by the end of a run. At Darlington, the ability to hold lap times late is not a secondary skill — it is the race.
He led 243 laps in the 2025 spring race and finished second, and his Gen-7 average finish of 10.6 across eight starts includes a win. The ugly results on that resume came from mechanical failures rather than driving mistakes, and nothing in practice suggested the car has those problems this week.

Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.

When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
