Sunday presents a five-game NBA slate. Let’s take a look at three of my favorite player prop bets for Sunday’s slate on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Top NBA player prop bets
Jaylen Brown O 11.5 Assists + Rebounds (-112)
On top of being one of the best scorers in the NBA this season, Brown has been great as a rebounder and playmaker. The former NBA Finals MVP is averaging 7.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game, both of which are career highs. Even with Jayson Tatum back in the mix, Brown has exceeded 11.5 AR in five of his last eight starts. Over this time, the wing is averaging 10.4 rebound chances and a team-high 10.8 potential assists per game.
Playing up in pace vs. the Timberwolves on Sunday, Brown should fill up the stat sheet and clear 11.5 AR. This season, the Timberwolves rank ninth in pace, compared to the Celtics, who rank dead last. When Brown faced Minnesota back in November, he finished with seven assists and six rebounds.
Danny Wolf U 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110)
Despite the Nets being understaffed, Wolf has been producing weak numbers, posting no more than 17 PRA in three straight games. The 21-year-old is only logging 23.4 minutes per game during this stretch, as Brooklyn’s coaching staff has been spreading out the team’s minutes, with at least 10 players seeing the floor in each of these past three contests.
To make matters worse, Josh Minott has also been out playing Wolf off the bench. The rookie gets a strong matchup vs. the Kings on Sunday – they rank 28th in defensive rating this season – but Wolf’s role is fragile right now and he should finish with an underwhelming stat line.
RJ Barrett U 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (+103)
Barrett hasn’t been great from deep this season, averaging 1.7 made three-pointers while shooting 34% from beyond the arc. The wing has only hit one trey in four of his last five starts and since the All-Star break, Barrett has failed to hit multiple treys in nine of his 14 starts.
Barrett meets a Suns’ defense Sunday that has been one of the top units in the league at stopping outside shooters and he is an excellent bet for under 1.5 made three-pointers in this spot. Phoenix ranks first in opponent three-pointer percentage (34.5%) and it is allowing the third-fewest made three-pointers per game this season (12.2).
