The third fight of today’s UFC Fight Night Main Card features a 205-pound contest between Iwo Baraniewski vs. Austen Lane. Baraniewski is undefeated and has a 7-0 record with seven finishes, and all of them have come in the first round. Lane previously fought at Heavyweight, and this is his first bout at 205 pounds in the UFC. Since this event is in London, the Main Card begins at 4:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.
Here is my best bet and preview for Iwo Baraniewski vs. Austen Lane at today’s UFC Fight Night.
Iwo Baraniewski Round 1 (-185)
Baraniewski, 27, began his MMA career 30 months ago and has quickly become an elite prospect. In his first two fights, Baraniewski had back-to-back submissions, but he has since won five straight by knockout. Lane has lost two fights in a row and is 1-4 in his previous five contests.
In this contest, Lane has the physical advantage, as he is six inches taller (6’6″ vs. 6’0″) and has a seven-inch edge in standing reach (80″ vs. 73″). Although Lane is the bigger fighter, Baraniewski is more skilled and has all the tools to get the best of him.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Baraniewski is a massive -750 favorite with Lane being the underdog at +525 in this contest. Baraniewski is also -400 to win this fight by KO/TKO/DQ or submission. With that being the case, I’m taking Baraniewski to pick up the victory in the first round at -185. Baraniewski has won each of his seven fights in the first round, and when he swarms his opponent with his tremendous striking, they usually don’t respond. Baraniewski needs to unload a high volume of strikes early in this contest while closing the distance on Lane.
