The Miami Heat are coming off a three-game losing streak and have dropped to eighth in the Eastern Conference ahead of Saturday’s game against the Houston Rockets. Now, they could be without a key scorer as Norman Powell has been added to the injury report.
Powell didn’t carry a designation this morning but has been downgraded to questionable for today’s game due to a calf issue.
Notably, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Andrew Wiggins are also out for Miami today.
Powell has been a key member of this Heat team in his first season with the franchise. His 22.3 PPG mark is a team high, making him a valuable scorer as an integral piece next to Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro. It’s also worth mentioning that the guard earned the first All-Star appearance of his 11-year career this season as well, but was recently moved to a bench role as a sparkplug scorer.
The Heat are 38-32 on the season and come in as a 2.5-point underdog on the road against the Rockets tonight on DraftKings Sportsbook.
