BREAK IT DOWN:
(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Evan Mobley, 1st Points Scorer (+366): The Cavaliers are in New Orleans visiting the Pelicans in one of the three games that tip off just after 7:00 p.m. EST. Mobley is getting plenty of the public’s attention as the first points scorer in this matchup. Mobley scored 27 points against the Bucks and 26 points against the Bulls in his two matchups earlier this week and has at least 18 points in seven of his last eight games. With Jarrett Allen out and Donovan Mitchell and Jaylon Tyson questionable, Mobley and James Harden will likely carry the load.
Mobley has scored the first basket 11 times this season and has taken the first shot of the game in 20.8% of his games this season. The Cavaliers also win the tip-off 62.9% of the time, while the Pelicans rank last in tip-off win percentage of the 20 teams in action this Saturday.
Luka Doncic 30+ Points (-217): Doncic has been on an amazing roll lately, and the public likes him to keep right on rolling in Orlando on Saturday. The 27-year-old is averaging 33.4 points per game on the season and has scored at least 30 points in eight straight. He had only 22 points in his first game this season against the Magic, shooting 8-for-24 from the field, but the Magic won’t have Anthony Black for the rematch. Jalen Suggs will be back for this matchup instead, but Luka’s impressive run has a great chance to continue.
Jalen Johnson Triple-Double (+297): The Hawks have been getting great work from Jalen Johnson all season. The 24-year-old from Duke is averaging 22.7 points, 10.4 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game in his first 63 games. Johnson has 42 double-doubles and 13 triple-doubles on the year, and he and the Hawks have a favorable matchup on Saturday against the short-handed Warriors, who are finishing a back-to-back. Johnson had a rough game on Friday in Houston, but he was just one assist short of a triple-double on Wednesday against the Mavericks after posting a triple-double in wins against the Magic and Bucks last Thursday and last Saturday.
