The Houston Rockets are on night two of a back-to-back as they host the Miami Heat on Saturday night. Now, they may wind up shorthanded for this game as star center Alperen Sengun has been added to the injury report.
Sengun’s name popped up on the injury report as questionable to play due to a back issue. He’s missed multiple games with a similar injury in recent weeks, so it wouldn’t be shocking in the slightest to see the team err on the side of caution and hold him out on the second leg of this two-game set.
The Turkish big man earned the second All-Star nod of his career this season and brings averages of 20.2 points, 8.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists to the table. Since the break, his numbers haven’t been the most stable, though. He’s at just 18.5 points and 7.2 boards per game in 14 games since then, also missing a pair of contests due to a back issue. However, he did come just one rebound shy of a triple-double last night with 15 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds.
The Rockets are 42-27 overall and are slim 1.5-point favorites at home against the Heat tonight on DraftKings Sportsbook.
