The NCAA Tournament continues with the Round of 32 this weekend. The No. 3 Virginia Cavaliers battle the No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers on Sunday’s second-round slate, but what do the opening odds look like for this one on DraftKings Sportsbook?

A here’s a look at the opening odds and lines for Tennessee vs. Virginia on Sunday in Round Two of the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

Tennessee vs. Virginia opening odds

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Tennessee enters this matchup as a very slight 1.5-point favorite despite being the lower-seeded team. The Volunteers hold -118 odds on the Moneyline, though Virginia isn’t far behind at -102. The game total sits at a combined 136.5 points.

It’s pretty interesting to see Tennessee favored in this one, even if the odds do suggest something of a toss up. The Vols are 23-11 following a 78-56 first-round win over a Miami RedHawks team that entered March Madness as a No. 11 seed with only one loss all season, which came in its conference tournament. The Volunteers come in at 14th in the KenPom rankings, ranking 13th in DRTG and 33rd in ORTG. Perhaps part of the reason they’re favored is their superior strength of schedule this season, which falls 11th in opponent NetRtg.

Looking toward Virginia, the Cavaliers are a strong 30-5 as they come off an 82-73 victory over No. 14 Wright State. They were challenged for a time during that one and went into halftime down five points, which potentially fuels the odds listing as an underdog here. However, UVA ranks 17th in NetRtg per KenPom with the No. 28 offense and No. 16 defense in terms of ORTG and DRTG. As mentioned above, the Cavs are also far lower in strength of schedule faced thus far at 71st as well.

This game will take place on Sunday, March 22. The time slot for the opening tip is yet to be determined.
