Best NHL props for Friday 3/20/26
Timo Meier OVER 3.5 Shots on Goal (+110)
Among skaters with 300+ minutes of ice time, Meier ranks second in 5v5 shot attempts per 60 and eighth in 5v5 shots per 60. Across his last 10 outings, he ranks fifth in 5v5 shots per 60 and second in 5v5 shot attempts per 60. Tonight, he’ll face the Capitals, who rank 14th in shots allowed per game and have particularly struggled to limit opposing wingers, allowing the sixth-most shots per game to the position. Meier has cleared 4+ SOG in three straight road games and in 10 of his last 15 games overall.
Martin Necas Anytime Goalscorer (+105)
Necas has netted a goal in each of his past six road outings, and he draws a juicy matchup tonight against a Blackhawks squad that ranks 30th in 5v5 xGoals against per 60. Chicago also ranks 25th in 5v5 goals against per 60, which seems like a recipe for disaster against the Avalanche, who rank first in both 5v5 xGoals per 60 and 5v5 goals per 60. Arvid Soderbolm is expected to start between the pipes, and he ranks 76th out of 93 eligible goaltenders in goals saved above expected. Soderbolm sports a 3.70 GAA and .876 SV% and has allowed 4+ goals in four of his past six starts.
Dylan Guenther Anytime Goalscorer (+155)
Since returning from the break, Guenther has notched eight goals and two two-goal games. Among skaters with 300+ minutes of ice time, he ranks fourth in 5v5 goals per 60 and fifth in total 5v5 goals. Tonight, he’ll face the Ducks, who rank 29th in 5v5 goals against per 60 and have lost three of their last four games. Guenther has scored in each of his past three meetings against Anaheim and should be able to take advantage of its expected starting goaltender, Lukas Dostal. Dostal sports a 3.06 GAA and .891 SV% this season, and he has allowed 3+ goals in eight of his past 11 starts.
