This bet can be found under the “Double Chance” category. These are two of the most in-form teams in the Premier League right now, but I’ll give the advantage to the Cherries on Friday.
Bournemouth are unbeaten in 10 straight Premier League games. Their last loss came all the way back on January 3rd against Arsenal. Since then, they’ve drawn six and won four. The Cherries have been hard to beat at home all season, only losing twice in 15 Premier League games at the Vitality Stadium.
On the flip side, United are also in solid form. They’ve won seven of their nine Premier League games since Michael Carrick took over. Their road form has been solid, but they have lost four times away from home so far this season, including their last away game, which was a 2-1 defeat to 10-man Newcastle.
This is fairly evenly matched for me, but I’m giving Bournemouth the advantage based on their recent history in this fixture. In the last five league games between the sides, the Cherries have won two and drawn three. You have to go all the way back to 2023 to find the last time that Man United beat them.
Winning on the road in the Premier League is always tough, and I think Man United will struggle to do just that on Friday.
