Hump day is here, which means there’s no better time to put down a few NBA player prop wagers. Nine games between 18 teams are set to tip off across the association, so there are several options at bettors’ disposal. Contenders galore are taking the floor as well, with the Celtics, Thunder, Lakers, Rockets and Timberwolves all in action.
Which players should you feel comfortable backing tonight? Here are my three favorite NBA prop bet picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s contests.

Donovan Clingan 25+ points + rebounds (-130)
At 33-36, the Trail Blazers are very much alive in the Western Conference play-in race. This solid young roster can throw plenty of depth at opponents, including big man Donvoan Clingan. The UConn alum has made major strides on both ends of the floor this season. Through 64 games, he’s averaging 12.0 points and 11.6 rebounds while shooting 52% from the field. The seven-footer’s floor is fairly safe as well, considering Portland’s lack of quality options down low. Backup Robert Williams (knee) is listed as questionable tonight.
Clingan has the potential to go off on any night; he’s eighth in the association with 29 double-doubles. The 22-year-old has notched 25 points + rebounds in seven of his last 14 appearances. Tonight, he’ll take on an absolutely atrocious Pacers front court. Indiana is surrendering the second-most rebounds (56.0) and second-most points in the paint (55.1) per game to opponents. Granted, there is some blowout potential in this one. Regardless, Clingan might not need more than three quarters of playing time to deliver on this total.
Jalen Johnson 42+ points + rebounds + assists (-122)
Break up the Hawks! Atlanta has reeled off ten straight wins, suddenly looking like a team with sneaky postseason potential. This run has been made possible in large part by face of the franchise Jalen Johnson. The first-time All-Star selection has been just as good, if not better, in the second half. Over his last five games, the forward is averaging 26.0 points, 10.2 rebounds and 9.8 assists. That level of statistical prowess is usually reserved for names such as Jokic and Antetokounmpo.
During that recent five-game stretch, Johnson has tallied 42 points + rebounds + assists four different times. He’s poised to do so again this evening against the rebuilding Mavericks. Dallas is a mess, especially on defense. This group has given up the eighth-most points (118.2), fourth-most rebounds (55.4) and fourth-most assists (28.0) per game. To boot, rim protector Daniel Gafford (illness) is questionable to suit up. Another all-around showcase feels likelier than not for Johnson on Wednesday.
RJ Barrett 22+ points (-104)
Throughout his seven-year career, RJ Barrett has shown flashes as an offensive playmaker. That’s been the case over the wing’s last ten outings with Toronto. During that time, the Canadian is putting up 22.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists to go with 56/38/69 shooting splits. It’s worth noting that the Raptors possess several high-end scorers, such as Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes. Still, those two have willingly played second fiddle to Barrett recently.
Toronto’s underrated guard is set up nicely for even more buckets tonight. Defense has been optional all season in the Windy City; Chicago has allowed the NBA’s fifth-most points per game (120.0). To make matters worse for the Bulls, they’ll likely be without top wing stopper Isaac Okoro (knee). A normally deliberate Raptors offense could also get sped up in this one against a fast-paced foe. Keeping all that in mind, Barrett is well positioned to continue his hot streak this evening.
