DraftKings will be running it’s popular King of the Court promo on tonight’s eight-game NBA slate. Users who opt have the chance to split $2 million in bonus bets by placing a player prop bet on the DraftKings Sportsbook on the player who ultimately leads that night in total points, rebounds and assists.
Seems simple enough, right? Why wouldn’t you just place a bet and use your token on the highest usage option on that slate and call it a day? Well, the bonus bet split is smaller depending on how popular the player is with the betting public, so there could be some value in taking a contrarian approach. That means no Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Cade Cunningham or Giannis Antetokounmpo picks in this article.
With that in mind, here are a couple under the radar King of the Court picks for Tuesday night’s basketball action.
King of the Court Value Picks
Julius Randle, Minnesota Timberwolves
Not a lot of mystery to this lean towards Randle, yet that doesn’t make him any less of a candidate for King of the Court. Anthony Edwards (knee) has already been ruled out for tonight’s contest, while Naz Reid (shoulder) is questionable. Even if the latter doesn’t sit, Edwards’ absence alone is a massive hole to fill in this Minnesota rotation, as the All-Star is averaging 29.5 points per game this season with a team-high 31.6% usage rate. Randle will now surely step-up as the Timberwolves’ No. 1 offense option. In 2025-26, Randle’s seen his own usage rate rise from 24.6% when sharing the floor with Edwards, to 30.0% without his teammate available. That equates out to the big man producing 7.9 points per 75 possessions more when Edwards has been off the court — a pretty sizable difference! Randle is also a solid contributor in rebounds and assists, and he should be able to take advantage of a tired Suns squad that is on the second night of a back-to-back set.

DeMar DeRozan, Sacramento Kings
The Spurs are far from an ideal matchup when hunting for King of the Court picks, but I can not ignore DeMar DeRozan’s recent play. After registering 41 points and 11 assists in Sunday’s win over the Jazz — his first double-double of the season — the veteran is averaging 35.7 points and 8.0 assists per contest over his last three starts. It’s also a span of time where the 36-year-old is logging a hefty 38.5 minutes per game with a healthy 31.3% usage rate. It’s been a forgettable campaign for every member of the Sacramento organization, but that doesn’t change the fact that DeRozan has consistently been one of the league’s best scorers for over a decade. Heck, with a decent performance this evening, DeRozan is set to pass George Gervin for 20th on the NBA’s all-time points list. That’s after eclipsing Tim Duncan and Steph Curry earlier this month. Underestimate DeRozan at your own peril. The man is a bucket, and he’s also got over 5,000 career assists.
