The 2026 edition of THE PLAYERS Championship comes to a conclusion on Sunday, March 15. While it isn’t a major championship, THE PLAYERS gives out the largest total purse on the PGA TOUR. This year’s total is a massive $25 million, with the winner claiming a $4.5 million first-place prize money payout.
Ludvig Aberg heads into the final round holding a three-shot lead. He’s at -13 for the tournament, and Michael Thorbjornsen will join him for the final group, starting at -10. Cameron Young is four shots back at -9, while Brian Harman, Matt Fitzpatrick, Viktor Hovland, Corey Conners, Xander Schauffele, and Justin Thomas are all tied at eight under. Low scores should be available on Sunday, so let’s see if anyone can stop Aberg’s run for the prize. Aberg begins his round at 1:40 p.m. ET.
Here’s how the top-25 finishers will get paid at the conclusion of the tournament. Ties will be evenly divided among the included positions. For example, a four-way tie for fourth would result in the total purse for fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh getting evenly divided between the four players.
