The 2026 edition of THE PLAYERS Championship comes to a conclusion on Sunday, March 15. While it isn’t a major championship, THE PLAYERS gives out the largest total purse on the PGA TOUR. This year’s total is a massive $25 million, with the winner claiming a $4.5 million first-place prize money payout.
Ludvig Aberg heads into the final round holding a three-shot lead. He’s at -13 for the tournament, and Michael Thorbjornsen will join him for the final group, starting at -10. Cameron Young is four shots back at -9, while Brian Harman, Matt Fitzpatrick, Viktor Hovland, Corey Conners, Xander Schauffele, and Justin Thomas are all tied at eight under. Here’s how the top-25 finishers will get paid at the conclusion of the tournament. Ties will be evenly divided among the included positions. For example, a four-way tie for fourth would result in the total purse for fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh getting evenly divided between the four players.
