Vitor Petrino faces Steven Asplund in a Heavyweight contest on today’s UFC Fight Night card. Petrino has won two consecutive fights since moving up to the Heavyweight division, with his latest win coming against Thomas Petersen in October 2025. Petrino is 13-2 with 10 finishes, as Asplund has a record of 7-1 with six coming by knockout.
Check out my best bet below for Vitor Petrino vs. Steven Asplund at this week’s UFC Fight Night.
Over 1.5 Rounds (-160)
Petrino started his UFC career 4-0 but then lost two straight fights to Anthony Smith and Dustin Jacoby. That caused him to move divisions, and the change has correlated with a ton of success for Petrino. Even though Petrino is only one year older than Asplund, he has more experience, with eight more fights on his resume. Asplund earned a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2025 and followed it up with a second-round knockout over Sean Sharaf in his UFC debut in December.
With two supreme finishers facing off, this fight is -235 to not go the distance and +175 to go the full 15 minutes. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Petrino is a -218 favorite as Asplund is a +180 underdog. Asplund has the height (6’5″ vs. 6’2″) and reach (78″ vs. 77″) advantage in this contest.
Even though Petrino has more experience and is the better all-around fighter, Asplund’s power makes this contest a lot closer than the odds suggest. Five of Asplund’s previous six fights have gone more than one round, while eight of Petrino’s last 10 lasted more than 1.5 rounds. That is why my favorite bet in this contest is over 1.5 rounds at -160.
