Check out my best bet for tonight’s boxing matchup between Arnold Barboza Jr. vs. Kenneth Sims Jr.
Arnold Barboza Jr. Moneyline (+135)
Barboza began his boxing career 32-0, but lost his first fight to Teofimo Lopez in May 2025 in his last bout. Before losing to Lopez, Barboza had two wins over high-level opponents, Jack Catterall and Jose Carlos Ramirez. Barboza hails from Los Angeles, California, which isn’t too far from Anaheim, the location of tonight’s event.
The Chicago native, Sims, previously won nine consecutive bouts before losing to Oscar Duarte in August 2025. Sim’s last victory was against Kendo Castaneda in February 2025. Sims is taller by one inch (5’10” vs. 5’9″), while Barboza has the reach advantage (72″ vs. 69″).
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Sims is a -170 favorite while Barboza is the underdog at +135 in this contest. The over/under is 10.5 rounds with the over being -575. Sims is +100 to win by decision, while Barboza is +210 to do the same.
On BoxRec, these fighters are far apart in the Welterweight rankings, with Barboza ranked No. 8 and Sims No. 57. Barboza is the more experienced fighter, with a better track record. In his fight against Lopez, Barboza had a poor performance, only landing 71 of 426 total punches. That was an abnormally low total for Barboza, and he needs to be aggressive in tonight’s contest to find a rhythm early.
