Six nations remain in the World Baseball Classic after the Domincan Republic easily dispatched of Korea on Friday while USA squeaked past Canada. The other side of the bracket will play on Saturday – Puerto Rico vs. Italy and Venezuela vs. Japan.

The Dominican Republic will face USA on Sunday at 8:00 pm ET in Miami.

USA — listed as the away team — enters as a -170 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, while Dominican Republic sits as a +135 underdog.

Domican Republic is stiggidy stacked….on offense and defense. Fernando Tatis Jr. leads off while Juan Soto and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. bat third and fourth. Julio Rodriguez is down at seventh in the lineup! Power, speed and length. The team leads the WBC with 14 home runs and the 50 RBI are most by a wide margin. USA is second with 36. The team slash of .312/.453/.637 is also best.

The pitching staff is led by Cristopher Sanchez, who is arguably a top five pitcher in MLB. The bullpen is littered with nastiness and has helped post a team ERA of 1.98, second-best in the WBC. The WHIP of 0.93 is third-best.

USA is also stacked. The top of the lineup consists of Bobby Witt Jr., Bryce Harper, Aaron Judge and Kyle Schwarber. Cal Raleigh, who hit 60 home runs in MLB last season, is batting seventh! USA has only hit seven home runs so far in the tournament, tied for fourth-most, but the 40 runs scored are second only to the Dominican Republic. The 37 walks are second only to the Dominican Republic’s 39.

The pitching staff is led by Paul Skenes, arguably THE best pitcher in MLB. The bullpen is also populated with filth, helping the staff strikeout 68 batters, the most by a wide margin in the WBC. Japan is second with 49 strikeouts. That said, USA has given up 10 home runs, tied for the most in the WBC.

There are reasons why these are the two favorities to take the crown.

The marquee showdown features perhaps the most electric pitching duel we’ve seen at this year’s tournament: Paul Skenes will go head-to-head with Luis Severino.

The winner advances to the final on March 17 in Miami.
