Will Collin Morikawa bets be refunded after withdrawal from THE PLAYERS Championship?

Playing excellent golf to start this season, Collin Morikawa was a very popular pick for THE PLAYERS Championship this week. In fact, on Wednesday afternoon, Morikawa was the most popular outright bet on the DraftKings Sportsbook, seeing 14% of the handle for the market. Unfortunately, the former Open champion tweaked his back taking a practice swing on the tee of just his second hole, forcing Morikawa to withdraw from the tournament.

While this is extremely disappointing news for Morikawa backers, since he withdrew before the start of the second round, DraftKings’ Early Exit program is in effect. Anyone who made a single full-tournament bet on Morikawa will receive cash credits. Round 1 bets and hole props will also be refunded in this specific circumstance — generally those types of wagers are not covered by Early Exit. As for parlays, the remaining legs of your parlay will remain open, and the odds of your parlay will be recalculated excluding the leg that qualifies for Early Exit.
