TPC Sawgrass (par 72, 7,352 yards, POA trivialis greens) in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida will host THE PLAYERS Championship. TPC Sawgrass was designed by Pete Dye and has been the home of THE PLAYERS Championship since 1982. There will be 121 golfers competing this week and a top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.

Davis Thompson to make the cut (-190)
Thompson has made 2-of-3 cuts at TPC Sawgrass and he made some noise here last season, finishing T10th. Thompson enters this year’s PLAYERS Championship as the maker of eight of his last 10 cuts. Thompson on the heels off a fourth place finish at the Puerto Rico Open last week and he caught fire in the third round with a 7-under 65 at Grand Reserve Country Club. Looking to build off this, Thompson should make the cut this week. This season, the 26-year-old ranks top-40 in both SG APP and total driving.
Mac Meissner to make the cut (-186)
Meissner finished a solid T42nd in his PLAYERS Championship debut last season and he now returns to TPC Sawgrass 60 spots higher in the world golf rankings. Meissner missed the cut at the Cognizant Classic his last time out, but he had made 11 straight cuts before this, including seven top-30 finishes. Meissner ranks 10th in SGT2G when we compare this field’s last 50 rounds and the compelling, up-and-coming player should get back on track with a made cut this week.
Keith Mitchell to make the cut (-180)
Mitchell is a very reliable cut maker. The bomber hasn’t missed a cut in 12 starts and he has produced four top-20 finishes during this streak. Mitchell ranks 22nd SGT2G this season and at TPC Sawgrass, he has only missed two cuts in seven tries. Mitchell finished T13th at the Florida venue in 2022 and he has shot as low as a 7-under 65 at the par 72.
