They don’t need perfect offense to win because they keep manufacturing extra possessions through sheer pace. The Heat are 36–29, and the recent trend is encouraging: their last 10 games have been their cleanest two-way stretch, with a 122.0 OFFRTG and 110.9 DEFRTG, which lines up with what they’ve been doing stylistically. They pressure the ball, speed opponents up into mistakes, then cash those mistakes into early offense before defenses can lock in. Miami’s path to victory comes from whether they can keep the pace/turnover edge without as much secondary scoring depth, and against the Wizards, we can expect that it’s very likely.
