Tuesday’s seven-game, 14-team featured NBA DFS slate has something for everyone. Big-time superstars and youngsters on the rise will attract most of the attention tonight. Still, building a winning fantasy lineup requires more than just high-priced players. Snagging a few high-upside gems can make all the difference. Here are three bargains to consider this evening for your fantasy basketball lineups.

SF/PF Justin Champagnie, Washington Wizards at MIA ($4,800)
Finding consistent role players has been a never-ending issue in Washington. Fortunately, Justin Champagnie is beginning to emerge as someone head coach Brian Keefe can rely on. The wing’s season-long numbers (8.1 PPG, 5.6 REB) aren’t very impressive. He’s averaging just under 19.9 fantasy points per game, nothing to write home about. However, he’s begun to command a larger workload in recent weeks. Champagnie has accounted for 12.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists over his last ten outings.
Tuesday’s contest has all the makings of a blowout. Washington’s atrocious defense will go up against Miami, the NBA’s fastest-paced offense. Out of necessity, the Wizards will likely need to push the ball up and down the court just to keep up. Champagnie has notched 13 and 27 points respectively over his last two games vs. the Heat. In addition, Kyshawn George (UCL) is out for the remainder of the season. His absence leaves ample minutes up for grabs on the wings. Champagnie is poised for another quality performance this evening in South Beach.
PG Davion Mitchell, Miami Heat vs. WAS ($4,700)
Let’s stick around in Florida. As previously mentioned, this matchup has serious shootout potential. The Heat are always on the attack, due in large part to their underrated point guard. What Davion Mitchell lacks in scoring ability, he makes up for in playmaking. Through 54 games, the veteran has recorded 8.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and a team-leading 6.8 assists per game (24.5 FPTS). On defense, he’s also chipped in with 1.1 steals. It’s no coincidence that the Baylor alum has started in each of his appearances this season.
Inconsistent buckets can make it difficult for fantasy managers to put their faith in Mitchell. With that being said, the two-way guard has an enticing showdown on tap this evening. Washington has coughed up the second-most points (123.3) and second-most assists (28.7) per game to opponents. In addition, the Wizards have surrendered the most fantasy points to opposing point guards. If there was ever a time for Mitchell to snap out of his recent cold streak, it’s on Tuesday.
SF Justin Edwards, Philadelphia 76ers vs. MEM ($4,600)
Few teams are more snake-bit tonight than the 76ers. Philadelphia will be without most of its best players, including Tyrese Maxey (finger), V.J. Edgecombe (back) and Joel Embiid (oblique). On the wings, there aren’t many proven names other than Kelly Oubre Jr. ($7,000). That’s not ideal, but it does grant some unheralded 76ers more playing time than usual. Second-year pro Justin Edwards is among those in line for a larger role tonight. Typically coming off of the bench, the forward has only notched 10.4 fantasy points per game this season.
Edwards’ season-long numbers (4.9 PPG, 1.4 REB) don’t move the needle. However, that’s due more to limited playing time. The wing’s per36 numbers are far better (12.3 PPG, 3.6 REB, 1.8 STL). Tonight, he’ll take on an abysmal Grizzlies defense giving up the eighth-most points per game (118.0) in basketball. Memphis has also coughed up the tenth-most fantasy points to opposing small forwards. All signs are pointing to a productive outing for Edwards.
