The World Baseball Classic has gotten off to a power-packed start with home runs flying at the highest rate in any WBC in history. Group play continues on Sunday with games throughout the Sunday afternoon and evening. Three contests will take place under the lights on Sunday night, so let’s take a look at my top three home run props to target in those games on DraftKings Sportsbook: RJ Schreck, Tyler O’Neill and Jarren Duran.
Saturday’s 20 homers tied the most homers hit on any slate in WBC history and included two walk-off blasts. More homers are likely on deck tonight, so let’s enjoy these incredible higlights and find some home run props to back on Sunday night.
Top World Baseball Classic Home Run Props
RJ Schreck 1+ Home Run (+750)
Nicaragua and Israel are each searching for their first win in the WBC. Nicaragua lost 12-3 to the Dominican and 4-3 on Ozzie Albies’ walk-off on Saturday. They’ll give the ball to 24-year-old Carlos Rodriguez of the Brewers on Sunday, but he’ll face a strong lineup from Israel, who lost their opener 11-3 to Venezuela. Israel got two homers in that loss, one from Harrison Bader and one from RJ Schreck.
Schreck is a nice longshot play to go with on Sunday night since he’s definitely seeing the ball well and hit second in the tournament opener. Schreck is a lefty prospect who is currently in the Blue Jays’ system and hit 17 and 18 homers in the last two minor-league seasons. Nine of those homers came in his 58 games in Triple-A Buffalo, where he hit .242 with a .379 wOBA. His home run in the opener shows he can definitely put a charge into mistakes like he saw on Friday.
Tyler O’Neill 1+ Home Run (+320)
Another one of the matchups to watch on Sunday night is Team Canada facing Panama. Canada won its opener, while Panama is 0-2. Like with the first home run prop in this post, let’s attack the team that is deeper in the rotation and take on Jaime Barria, who is the third starter for Panama in this WBC. The 29-year-old pitched for the Angels for several seasons and has played the last two years in the KBO and the Mexican League, also pitching in the Dominican Winter League both years. The righty was actually fairly effective against lefties in his time in the majors but struggled with righties, who had a .821 OPS against him and 53 homers.
From the right side, my favorite home run prop comes from Tyler O’Neill, who went 1-for-3 in the opener for Canada but brings plenty of power potential whenever he’s healthy. O’Neill homered 31 times for the Red Sox in 113 games in 2024 and signed a big contract with the Orioles, where he hit nine homers in 54 games last year while dealing with multiple injuries. He hit a blast in five spring training games before joining Team Canada, and he’ll look to help his team improve to 2-0 with another win on Sunday night.
Jarren Duran 1+ Home Run (+330)
The final game of the night features Brazil taking on Mexico. Brazil is 0-2 after losses to Team USA and Italy the last two days, while Mexico beat Great Britain on Friday and had Saturday off. While Mexico has Taijuan Walker ready to roll for their second game, Brazil will give the ball to Eric Pardinho, who is a 25-year-old righty who has worked his way to Triple-A the last two seasons for the Blue Jays but has yet to make his MLB debut. Brazil’s pitching staff was a little thin to start the tournament, and after two games against tough offenses, they’re light on arms coming into their matchup with Mexico.
Mexico got two homers in their opener, one from Nacho Alvarez and one from Jonathan Aranda, but in this Sunday night game, I’m taking Jarren Duran to go yard to close out my home run props for the day. Duran hit 21 homers in 2024 and 16 homers in 2025, and he started this spring looking excellent for the Red Sox, hitting three homers in just five games before joining Mexico for the WBC. Duran should hit in the heart of the order, and he brings great power potential at 3:1 odds in this matchup.
