In the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Kings, the Bulls announced that Collin Sexton has been ruled out for the remainder of the game with a lower leg contusion. Sexton was on the floor at the end of the third quarter and was then replaced by Matas Buzelis prior to the start of the fourth. At this point, there is no indication of how the injury occurred or the extent of it.
It’s a shame that Sexton’s night ended early, as he was putting on a show. In 22 minutes, he scored 28 points while adding two rebounds and three assists. He shot 75% from the field and went seven-of-nine from three-point range. Sexton has now scored at least 20 points in four straight games. The Bulls will hope that he is ready for their next game on Tuesday when they travel to face Golden State.
