Giannis Antetokounmpo has been ruled out for tonight’s matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic due to injury management. This matchup marks the second half of a back-to-back after the Bucks defeated the Jazz 113-99 on Saturday.

Antetokounmpo has battled calf issues this season and has only been on the floor for 33 of Milwaukee’s 62 games played. He returned from a 15-game absence earlier this week and played three straight games leading into tonight. Across his 33 games played, the two-time MVP is averaging 27.5 points, 9.9 rebounds and 5.5 assists while shooting 63.7% from the floor.

Kevin Porter Jr. will also miss tonight with right knee synovitis, and Kyle Kuzma is listed as questionable with a thoracic spine contusion.

Following the injury updates, the Magic are now 6.5-point favorites and hold -218 odds of winning outright on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Bucks hold +180 odds of winning outright, with the game total set at 217.5 points.

The injuries to Antetokounmpo this season have also dimmed the Bucks’ outlook on the season. Milwaukee has slipped to -8000 odds to miss the playoffs and hold +2000 odds of qualifying on DraftKings Sportsbook. It holds +1000 odds of qualifying for the play-in tournament.

Looking just at the standings, the Bucks hold a record of 27-35 and are in 11th place in the Eastern Conference. They are currently four games back of the Charlotte Hornets for the 10th and last play-in seed. Facing off with other Eastern Conference opponents in this same mix without Antetokounmpo only makes this outlook more concerning.
