While LeBron James has been ruled out, life goes on as they host an Indiana Pacers squad riding a seven-game losing streak to the West Coast. Tip-off is set for 10:30 p.m. EST.

Pascal Siakam 22+ points (-121)
Would you be surprised to hear that the Pacers had an All-Star this season? Pascal Siakam appeared in all but four games prior to the All-Star break and has posted averages of 24.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per contest over the full season’s sample. While he’s missed five of his team’s seven matchups since the break due to a wrist sprain (you can do the math on their lottery odds), there’s no denying that the Cameroonian forward has been quite good when on the floor.
Across six games since February 1, Siakam has averaged 25.5 PPG while taking 19 FGA a night. He’s hit tonight’s line of 22+ points in four of those contests with 27, 30, 30, and 29 points, the latter two of which both came after the All-Star Game. If we go back a little bit further to the beginning of January, Siakam’s scoring mark sits at a cool 24.8 PPG with a 49.5% FG% and impressive 37.0% 3P% as well. Over this larger sample of 20 appearances, he’s tallied 22+ points a grand total of 14 times.
It’s clear that when active Siakam is the primary option for this Indiana roster. He’s probable to suit up tonight against a Lakers defense that sits exactly in the middle of the league with 115.3 PPG allowed to opponents, and Los Angeles tends to push the tempo some as well. That shapes up nicely for another outing of 22 points or more from Siakam, assuming he plays.
Austin Reaves over 34.5 PTS + REB + AST (-121)
Last night, I wrote up the under on Reaves’ combined PRA prop line because he’s remained under his line most nights when sharing the floor with Luka Doncic and LeBron James. However, the latter is out tonight due to an elbow issue and Deandre Ayton also won’t play with knee soreness. That opens the gates for more production from other sources.
Reaves stands to benefit from his teammates’ absences. He averages 29.2 points, 8.2 assists and 4.9 rebounds across 13 games this season when James doesn’t play (with the caveat that Doncic also missed most of those contests). That adds up to a total of 42.3 combined PRA. The absence of the 41-year-old James means additional shot volume and more ball-handling responsibilities for Reaves, who proved he can excel in a larger role earlier in the campaign. With Ayton out as well, there’s even less rebounding available in the starting five, setting the stage for an extra couple of boards for the guard as well.
While he’s typically gone under his PRA prop line since returning from injury in early February, the circumstances set Reaves up well to pop off tonight and look more like his early season self. I like the over on 34.5 PRA.
