Who was voted out in Survivor 50 Episode 2: Therapy Carousel?

Fresh off a fantastic premiere, Survivor 50 returned Wednesday night with another installment of the show’s most anticipated season yet. Let’s break down Survivor 50 Episode 2: Therapy Carousel, including spoilers for who was voted out.

Another Unexpected Evacuation

Survivor 50 Episode 2 began back on the Vatu beach as the tribe acclimated to Kyle’s recent departure. The Genevieve-led alliance began to scramble, putting Rizo in a power position to as a suddenly desired voting asset. The 26-year-old expressed confidence in his standing within the tribe in a confessional, highlighting a shift in his approach to the game. Foreshadowing? Perhaps we’ll find out.

Circling back to Cila, it was time for more Christian (always a good thing). This time, not in a good way. In his own words, “an unexpected evacuation” occurred on national television that made him jokingly fear for the status of his marriage upon his return from competing. That’s all I’ll say.

In the reward challenge, Kamilla was understandably emotional upon seeing Kyle was no longer in the game. Then, we got right back to the Coach and Ozzy beef. Pull out the popcorn and take a seat, folks! The Dragonslayer declared he was playing with honor, like always. Ozzy (now Oscar) very openly disagreed.

“Therapy Carousel” – Castaways are forced to go back to the drawing board and reassess their alliances. One castaway’s attempt to publicly set the record straight, sends shockwaves through the rest of camp. The reward challenge is a smash hit as tribes must shatter all other’s hopes of coming in first. The challenge went swimmingly (pun intended) until Aubry missed her jump, giving Cila an uphill battle to get back in it. Ultimately, Devens out-dueled Coach to earn the first-place reward, before the Survivor veteran finished the job to earn Kalo some lesser camp supplies.

Billie Eilish is Back!

After the challenge, the Genevieve and Aubry chess match continued. The Survivor 47 standout planted the seeds of a potential idol in Aubry’s bag. Her alliance formulated a plan to search it, executed it, and found… nothing.

We then got another look at Jonathan, who continued to privately declare that he’s setting up a multi-dimensional game. He went out in the ocean with Coach, who proceeded to get massive calf cramps and had to be rescued. This was, of course, all hilariously narrated by master storyteller Mike White.

At Cila, Devens was stuck in a tough spot in his alliance with Joe, Christian and Cirie right away. The code-oriented nature of Joe threw up some red flags, leaving his remaining allies to figure out a way to play around him, not with him, while maintaining their partnership. Then, on his walk back, Christian found the Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol! In an incredibly entertaining twist, he delivered it to Aubry. As it turns out, Genevieve had the right idea, just too early!!

Cila Crumbles (Again)

At the immunity challenge, all three tribes were neck-and-neck heading into the final portion. In an improbable turn of events, Angelina and Rizo carried Vatu to a comfortable first-place finish. Ozzy and Christian couldn’t figure out how to mesh on the snake maze, ultimately leading to a second-straight Cila defeat. Ozzy and Cirie were in trouble at the first tribal council, but the challenge beast had the utmost confidence heading back this time around, stating that he would not be the third person going home.

Back at camp, Cirie walked Emily through their options, talking her out of Ozzy towards the direction of Savannah. The master strategist was in her element, earning Ozzy’s extra vote as a “vote” of confidence. Meanwhile, Joe continued to his unintentional path of destruction within his alliance, furthering his beef with Devens. Cirie took that inch and went a mile, continuing to throw the scent off of Ozzy by tossing Joe’s name out. However, Savannah saw right through those efforts. Heading to tribal, a lot of names were on the block, including the pair of legends. At the same time, Devens was plotting potential paths to wreak havoc with Christian via fake idols.

At tribal council, the various Cila tribe members vaguely danced around the uncertainty of where things stood. When the time came to vote, Cirie got her way. Savannah ultimately became the second person voted off and third person sent home from Survivor 50. As the (VERY publicly declared) previous season’s winner, Louie’s hopes to go back-to-back were always a long shot, and her journey came to an early end.
